  • Happy New Year to All!

And may 2013 bring you the very best.

I was back home this weekend. I thought I would not have much to do compared to the last one. Bad assessment. For all purposes, I only had Saturday afternoon to roam the internet. I should be back home, hopefully, for next weekend. Meanwhile, at the hospital, the opening hours where are the computers depend on the phases of the moon apparently. Last week it was only open on Thursday afternoon.

I still have lots of fun things to do before I leave for the hospital this evening like washing the dishes and similar playful activities so until nexy Saturday it’s gonna be an arrivederci, goodbye, viszlat, adios or au revoir, depending on your cultural persuasion. Unless I can access internet in the meantime, of course.

  • It’s nice to hear from you again and hope you manage to get home again soon!!

I sympathise with the internet, or lack of, connectivity at the hospital. In our old house if the ground got too wet, too cold or even too hot (rare, that last one) the internet would go down as it came via cable which was buried shallowly across the front garden. So our internal wireless connection would twinkle away merrily as the elements cut us off from the outside world. Even here, at the new house, we lost the connection on an exceptionally wet day and didn’t regain it for almost 24 hours. I did wonder if it was the whole of the area, but no one else mentioned a problem so I think it was just us.

It’s annoying but somehow it reminds one that no matter how advanced me might get we’re still subject to the effects of nature!

    Best wishes!!

  • I suppose they probably have to look after other things first at the hospital. Happy 2013!

  • Hospital are not the best place to be to start a new year, but you can try to make the best out of it.
Buon Anno or Felice Anno Nuovo. Buon is good enough for me: Happy is to much asked, I think.

  • @lausanne_guy - I was just going to Google what ‘HNY’ means but I figured it out all by myself.
